Why We Rebuilt the Kolob Express Website

A website is often the first interaction someone has with a company. For that reason, Kolob Express viewed the redesign of its website as much more than a visual project. It became an opportunity to better communicate the company’s identity, values, and approach to specialized logistics.

Throughout the development process, multiple concepts, layouts, content structures, and visual approaches were evaluated. While many of them successfully represented the logistics industry, they did not fully capture the character of Kolob Express.

The objective was never to create a website focused on appearance alone. Nor was it to create a website built exclusively around search engine optimization. The goal was to achieve a balance between technical performance, search visibility, usability, and an authentic representation of the company.

From the beginning, the project was developed with a strong focus on SEO best practices, mobile performance, accessibility, page speed, content structure, and user experience. However, Kolob Express also believed that a website should reflect the people, values, and culture behind the organization.

As the project evolved, founder Ever Martínez became increasingly involved in the development process. After reviewing multiple proposals and iterations, he concluded that many professionally executed solutions still failed to communicate the philosophy, operational mindset, and long-term vision of the company.

As a result, he decided to take direct ownership of much of the project. Much of the website’s content was personally written or rewritten by Ever Martínez. He also became directly involved in the selection, adaptation, refinement, and organization of visual assets, page structures, messaging, and overall user experience.

The visual language of the website was intentionally designed around cool blue tones. Beyond their visual appeal, these colors reflect the temperature-controlled environments frequently associated with life science logistics while conveying stability, precision, professionalism, and trust.

Many visual assets were customized, modified, or adapted to create a more cohesive representation of the company and its services. The objective was not to create something flashy, exaggerated, or pretentious. At the same time, Kolob Express did not want important aspects of its identity, philosophy, and operational culture to be lost behind generic industry imagery or marketing language.

Every page was evaluated not only from a design perspective but also from an operational, technical, and strategic standpoint. Significant attention was given to search visibility, accessibility, mobile performance, image optimization, page speed, and overall usability.

The result is a website designed to be technically optimized, search-engine friendly, and operationally focused while remaining faithful to the values that have guided Kolob Express since its beginning.

As the company continues to grow, its digital presence will continue to evolve alongside it, guided by the same principles of precision, transparency, simplicity, continuous improvement, and disciplined execution that shape its daily operations.
